Dedicated Servers are an Internet Hosting type where you have full control over the server. You decide what software and servers you would like to run on the server. The main difference between this and Shared Web Hosting is that you will need to deal with the administration and maintenance of the server. You can order managed hosting which is basically a dedicated server but the maintenance is handled by the hosting company itself, at an additional costs.

- Cost: This will definitely cost you more than Shared Web Hosting, or a VPS server.
